Unit 2 Title: The Engineering Design Process

 

Big Idea:The Engineering Design process is a systematic, iterative problem-solving method that produces solutions to meet human wants and desires.

 

This unit will enable students to apply the engineering design process as they solve a variety of problems.

 

Lesson 3  Introduces students to aesthetic and engineering design principles applied by engineers and product designers when creating solutions to problems. Students investigate the aesthetic and engineering design principles designers have considered for a current product and propose a redesign based on universal design.
